Unplanned Event: Multiple Fibre Cut South of Auckland

July 3, 2022 17:48 NZSTIdentified – We have received reports of a multiple fibre cut event south of Auckland, this has caused multiple core links to fail over to backup while the impacted fibres are repaired by the circuit vendors.

April 27, 2022 15:06 NZSTInvestigating – We are currently investigating reports of service disruption in the Wellington region for PPPoE fibre customers.April 27, 2022 15:19 NZSTMonitoring – We are seeing services restored, root cause investigation is ongoing.April 29, 2022 17:25 NZSTResolved – Cause isolated to third party access provider, handover has now been patched directly to new Devoli switch during change later the same night.

Ponsonby card failure.

April 12, 2022 21:35 NZSTIdentified – A card failure in the Ponsonby datacentre at 20:45 resulted in a failover to a redundant system to restore all users.This impacted all customers nationwide processed on Ponsonby’s CGNAT device. The system was fully restored by 20:52 and our vendor is investigating the root cause of the card failure.
